How the
Weather Station works
This page presents the station technical structure, the equipment used, the weather data collection flow, image capture and the external services that receive and publish the monitored information in Rodeio SC.
Operational structure
Overview of the technical flow from collection to display on the website.
Project overview
The station uses an Ambient Weather WS-2902 to capture temperature, wind, humidity, rain and other meteorological parameters. The data is sent over the network to online services and is also used locally to feed this website.
At the same time, a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B acts as a local server to process, organize and present the information, generate charts, automate routines and integrate image capture from the HILOOK IPC-B121H-L camera.
The environment also has dedicated storage in an Exbom 3.5 SATA USB 3.0 external enclosure, used to house HDDs and SSDs with fast connection to the local system, offering practicality for storage expansion, file organization and efficient access to generated content.
All automation was developed on Linux and Python, with support from AI tools to help create routines, always under our supervision, review and final validation.
